Responsibilities- Perform all production operator job responsibilities, including minor troubleshooting on basic technology equipment and processes.
- Assist in training less experienced employees on manual, semi‑automatic, and automated assembly or packaging processes while adhering to safety regulations, quality initiatives, lean tools, and Panduit’s operating system and manufacturing procedures.
- Work independently and in team settings, with some leadership or mentoring responsibilities.
- Execute tasks across multiple basic and some intermediate technologies within the department and operate approximately 25% of next‑level equipment or processes in continued development toward the next level.
- Take charge of packaging, labeling, and cartoning products, ensuring label accuracy, package seal integrity, and precise counts per package and carton.
- Start‑up, operate, and shut down basic technology manual, semi‑automatic, and automatic assembly/production machines and processes; set‑up and troubleshoot basic technology machines and related production equipment.
- Perform quality inspections following Panduit’s quality systems and procedures, ensuring our products meet the highest standards.
- Prioritize safety by following Panduit’s safety guidelines and procedures, creating a secure work environment for all.
- Perform daily 5S activities, eliminate waste, and optimize efficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or a similar environment.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new skills and knowledge quickly.
- Basic mathematical skills and proficiency in using a calculator and measuring tools.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, perform repetitive tasks, and remain on your feet for the majority of the shift.
