JOB DESCRIPTION Repair/Receiving Lead Description

Monday - Friday 5AM-1:30PM

$16.00-$20.45/Hour

Job Purpose

To inspect and repair tools received into the Packing Department according to the company standards.

Essential Functions

Inspect tools prior to packing for defects, such as cracks, bent tools, paint/coating imperfections and inform supervisor of defects.

Repair grips hit in finishing process, straighten products in packing using soft mallet, and clean tool grips as necessary.

Examine field returns and record results as necessary.

Category repairs and scrap, record them before products are removed from Packing Department, and expedite removal of repairs and scrap from Packing Department to designated areas.

Assemble various tools to ready them for shipping (Fiberglass, GP 100’s).

Sort, load and unload tools/products in tubs or carts, transport to specific staging area, and transport completed and inspected shipping cartons to staging area for transfer to the warehouse.

Complete the appropriate routing sheet and input data entry information in a timely manner.

Additional Responsibilities

Fill in for UV Technician or Operator in their absence.

Receive goods at the dock when receiving person is unavailable.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Education/Experience

One to three months of related experience or on-the-job training.

Physical

Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and use arms/hands to reach, finger, handle or feel, talk and hear for 8 hours or more per day.

Must be able to frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Must have close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus to work.

Employees will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, moderate noise levels, and vibration to hands.

Employees will be required to wear hearing protection, safety glasses and foot protection as necessary and may be exposed to outside weather conditions.

Mental

Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple written and verbal instructions.

Must be able to perform mathematical skills such as addition, subtractions, multiplication, and division of all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; and ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Must have the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
