General Operator-Blackening Long Tanks

Blackening Tank Operator:
Rockford, Illinois

Our customer in Rockford, Illinois, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Blackening Tank Operators to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Blackening General Tank Operator, you will be responsible for handling blackening tanks, heat treating, straightening, and other general duties in the production environment.

• Color metal tools and parts using blackening tanks.
• Place tools/parts into multiple tanks for specific times to achieve desired coloring effects.
• Perform heat treating, straightening, and sawing as needed.
• Use overhead crane regularly to move materials safely.
• Bend and manipulate materials as required.
• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols.
• Complete other production-related duties as assigned.

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma/GED or significant relevant work experience.
• Capable of using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Proficient with hand tools, including drills, screwdrivers, and impact tools.
• Ability to read, write, perform basic arithmetic, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Steel-toed boots/shoes required.
• 1-3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.

$17/hour
