CNC Machinist (1st Shift – Aerospace Manufacturing)
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM. Overtime available as needed.

- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes, primarily Haas and Mazak
- Machine parts to precise specifications based on blueprints
- Perform inspections using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and CMM equipment
- Adjust tooling, offsets, and fixtures to maintain tight tolerances
- Apply GD&T principles throughout setup, machining, and inspection
- Complete first-piece inspections and identify any defects
- Accurately document production and inspection results
- Assist with training operators and support team operations
- Follow all safety procedures in a production environment
- Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience performing machine setups, including tooling and offsets
- Working knowledge and application of GD&T
- Experience using precision measurement tools and inspection equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
- Basic math and geometry skills
- Must be eligible to work on ITAR-controlled programs (U.S. Person requirement)
- Experience with Haas or Mazak CNC machines
- Familiarity with Fanuc or similar CNC controls
- Aerospace or other regulated industry experience
- Experience with first article and in-process inspections
- Ability to mentor or train other operators
- Clean, organized aerospace manufacturing facility
- Physical role requiring standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Work performed around moving machinery with a strong safety focus
- Overtime may extend shifts up to 12 hours when required

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, IL.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
