Cold Forming Machine Specialist — Fastener Production Build parts that hold the world together. In this role, you’ll turn coil into precision fasteners using cold heading equipment—from One-Die/Two-Blow to Four-Die/Four-Blow—leveraging multi-die headers to form complex geometries in one streamlined process.

Pay, Hours, and Stability $25–$35 per hour Monday–Friday, 1:30 p.m.–10:30 p.m. shift (overtime may be available)
Core Responsibilities Set up and run cold forming machines for fastener manufacturing (1D2B through 4D4B).Monitor materials, events, and environmental cues to detect potential issues early.

Collect and interpret data from gauges, sensors, inspections, and team input to guide decisions.

Review operations with the Supervisor; resolve production or processing problems swiftly.

Inspect equipment, structures, and materials to determine causes of errors or defects.

Fine-tune machine components: speeds, pressures, temperatures, amounts, dimensions, and flow.

Operate control panels and buttons to activate and regulate machinery.

Verify parts meet spec by examining, measuring, and weighing with calipers, micrometers, and a Length Gage.

Respond to alarms, clear jams, and remove defective or substandard material.

Lead problem solving with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to eliminate repeat issues.

Qualifications3–7 years of cold heading experience with demonstrated setup proficiency; fastener industry experience preferred.

Professional communication with supervisors, peers, and subordinates; steady under pressure.

Ability to prioritize, organize, and execute work efficiently; switch tasks quickly without errors.

Knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements and quality mindset.

Strong deductive reasoning skills.

Competence adjusting machine parameters (speed, pressure, temperature, flow, and dimensions).Basic heading maintenance capability.

Skilled with calipers, micrometers, and blueprint reading.

Always follows OSHA and company safety rules.

Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
