This role will provide support and operations in products such as servo valves, actuators, fuel metering units, specialty valves, or pumps. Positions are on 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:30pm – 11:00pm) and are located at our Loves Park Campus, where innovation, precision, and quality are at the heart of everything we do. Training shift will be on 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 7am – 3:30pm) for the first 2 weeks.
The role supports the manufacturing and maintenance of high‑precision aerospace and industrial components.
- Disassemble and reassemble aircraft parts using specialized hand tools and instruction manuals.
- Conduct visual inspections of mechanical and structural components under supervision to identify wear, corrosion, or damage with measurement tools and gauges.
- Execute routine cleaning procedures to remove debris, oil, and contaminants in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Perform simple adjustments, align, measure, and calibrate parts to specified tolerances using precision tools and gauges as instructed by senior technicians.
- Document maintenance activities, inspection findings, repair steps, and tool usage in maintenance logs and digital systems.
- Mechanical aptitude: fundamental understanding of mechanical systems and components.
- Tool handling: selecting, maintaining, and operating hand and power tools.
- Precision measuring: use of calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Component disassembly and reassembly following technical diagrams.
- Basic troubleshooting: applying diagnostic procedures to identify simple faults.
- Technical documentation literacy: reading maintenance manuals, schematics, and work orders.
- Safety procedure compliance: adherence to safety protocols and PPE usage.
- Quality inspection: routine inspections and measurements to ensure parts meet specification standards.
- Time management: prioritizing and completing tasks within allotted time frames.
- Team communication: sharing clear updates and escalating issues.
- Teardown, assembly, and test of product following documented procedures.
- Coordinate with members and cross‑functional teams to perform analysis, investigation, and work scope of product.
- Conduct inspections and tests to verify product accuracy and functionality, recording data per operating standards.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of workstations, adhering to 5S principles.
- Follow safety protocols, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Technical capability: understanding and following basic technical instructions and SOPs.
