Powder Coater

Position Title:

Powder Coater
Wage: $16.00/hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours:

3:15pm - 11:45pm

Location:

Rockford, IL

• Clean, degrease, sandblast, or sand parts to remove rust, defects, or imperfections before coating
• Use spray guns or powder dispensers to evenly apply powder coatings in a controlled spray booth environment
• Place coated items in curing ovens and monitor the process to ensure the coating hardens properly
• Examine finished products for uniformity, defects, and adherence to client specifications
• Safely operate powder coating machinery, paint booths, and conveyor systems
• Follow safety protocols to prevent exposure to fumes and maintain a safe work environment

• Knowledge of powder coating techniques, spray equipment, and surface preparation methods
• Strong attention to detail and precision in applying coatings and inspecting finished products
• Ability to stand, lift, and maneuver parts for extended periods
• High school diploma or GED is typically preferred; vocational training or apprenticeships in surface preparation and coating are advantageous
• Prior experience in paint booths, batch painting, or conveyor line painting;
