Industrial Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

The Fremont Company is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our second-shift team at our Rockford, Ohio facility. As part of the team behind a variety of ketchup, BBQ sauce, and other tomato-based products, you will play an important role in keeping our production equipment operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.

We are looking for a hands-on, dependable technician who enjoys troubleshooting problems, completing repairs, and helping keep a fast-paced food manufacturing facility running smoothly.

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and packaging equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and facility systems
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production needs
• Replace or repair motors, bearings, belts, chains, sensors, and other components
• Complete welding, fabrication, and basic machining work as needed
• Document completed repairs and preventive maintenance activities
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and improvement projects
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety, food safety, GMP, and company procedures
• Work closely with production employees and supervisors to reduce downtime

• Previous industrial maintenance experience required
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and diagrams
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance needs
• Strong communication, attendance, and dependability
• Willingness to work second shift and additional hours when needed
• Ability to safely lift, bend, climb, stand, and work around industrial equipment
