2nd Shift Bandsaw Operator

Bandsaw Operator:
Rockford, Illinois

Our customer in Rockford, Illinois is looking for a hardworking, detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Bandsaw Operator to work full-time on 2nd shift. In this role, you’ll support production operations by accurately cutting materials, setting up equipment, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities of the Bandsaw Operator:

• Operate a bandsaw to cut materials accurately according to specifications.
• Measure materials using tapes, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring tools as required.
• Work with close tolerances to ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Set up, adjust, and prepare bandsaw equipment for efficient operation.
• Remove chips, steel stringers, and burrs from equipment and surrounding work areas.
• Clean and maintain equipment to support safe and consistent operation.
• Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and quality guidelines at all times.

Bandsaw Operator Requirements and Qualifications:

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and perform physical job duties throughout the shift.
• Ability to wear required PPE including steel-toed boots.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred.

Pay for Bandsaw Operator: $16.00/hour.
