Paint Line Technician
The Paint Line Technician will work on the paint line, handling both powder and wet paint duties and preparing products for painting. This role offers opportunities for advancement in a growing company. The position is a 1st shift opportunity with work hours of 10-hour days from Monday to Thursday, and currently involves 8-10 hours of overtime on Fridays.
Responsibilities- Manage mixtures, applications, and distribution of paint and powder.
- Troubleshoot paint operations and paint booth issues.
- Maintain the paint line processes and techniques, including washing, checking chemicals, temperatures, and nozzles.
- Perform inspections and handle documentation and logging information.
- Serve as backup for the Paint Line Team Lead.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience with paint application, batching, and paint booth operations.
- Proficiency in using respirators and inspection equipment.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Mechanically inclined with experience in handling hand and power tools.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficient in problem-solving and troubleshooting.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

WorkEnvironment
The work environment is clean, although it can be hot in the summer. Fans are provided at all workstations to ensure comfort. The facility operates with 140 employees across two shifts in Rockford. The standard shift is from 6am to 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday, with optional work on Fridays.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
