Position Title:
Production Packager
Wage: $17.00-$17.50 per hour
Shift: 1st, 3rd
Hours:
6:45am-3:15pm; 10:45pm-7:00am
This production position offers opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment within the construction industry. It involves following detailed work orders, accurate visual inspections, packaging finished products, ensuring quality standards are met, and supporting production processes to meet company goals. There are opportunities for training and to become hired into the company.
Production Packager Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Manage multiple production packing lines, ensuring they are well kept up with and not becoming backed up.
- Follow detailed work instructions to package the products in the correct pattern.
- Inspect and count parts for quality control.
- Separate finished products and inspect for proper spacing and glue leaks.
- Lift window profiles - otherwise known as the structural frames of windows into boxes. These profiles vary in size and can weigh 5-13 lbs each.
- Secure boxes properly, team lift if instructions state to, into metal pallet skids.
- Perform basic data entry related to production and quality metrics.
- Maintain flexibility in work hours, including mandatory overtime on Saturdays as needed.
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure smooth production flow, ask questions as needed.
- Execute tasks that involve twisting, bending, reaching overhead, and other physical movements required for assembly.
- Maintain a keen eye for detail, ensuring color accuracy and high-quality finishes; must not be color blind.
- Follow safety protocols diligently—including wearing steel-toe boots—and uphold a clean and organized workspace.
- Ability to work on-site with minimal experience required; training provided.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly during shifts required.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential; we value engagement and a positive work ethic.
- MUST NOT have 3 attendance infractions within the first 90 days of employment. This includes tardies, absences and leaving early.
- Previous experience operating machinery within a manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to train across various production functions and support team success.
- Accrue PTO once employed through QPS.
