Skilled - CNC Lathe Programmer

Position Title:

CNC Lathe Machinist/Programmer

Wage: $23.00-$31.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours:

7:00am - 3:30pm (Monday - Friday)

Location:

Rockford, IL

• Verify that all products produced meet customer specifications and is in accordance with company quality standards
• Perform advanced set-up and operation of CNC lathes, including Haas and Daewoo machines
• Program from print, edit programs at the control, and select proper tooling and work holding
• Set up and run live-tooling and Y-axis lathe work, including drilling, milling, tapping, and related operations
• Read blueprints, use gages, verify dimensions, and ensure parts meet customer and company quality standards
• Work independently as a self-starter to keep machines running, troubleshoot issues, and maintain production flow
• Provide assistance to co-workers as needed, in the spirit of teamwork, with the goal of meeting or exceeding customer requirements
• All other duties as assigned by a supervisor

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of CNC lathe set-up and operating experience
• Must have experience with live tooling, Y-axis lathes, and programming from print
• Haas and Daewoo experience strongly preferred
• Must be able to work independently and keep machines running with limited supervision
