Position OverviewWe are seeking Scientists with a background in Chemistry to support organic chemistry synthesis and manufacturing operations in Rockford, Illinois. This is an excellent opportunity for recent Chemistry graduates with hands-on laboratory experience who are looking to begin or advance their careers in a scientific manufacturing environment.
The Scientist will perform organic chemistry syntheses, product analysis, process development, scientific investigations, and manufacturing activities while supporting quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform organic chemistry syntheses in a manufacturing environment.
Follow written production documents and procedures to manufacture products and maintain appropriate inventory.
Apply scientific knowledge to understand team products, their applications, and manufacturing processes.
Produce and analyze reagents, components, work-in-process materials, and finished products according to manufacturing plans.
Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials, WIP, and finished products using ERP systems.
Analyze, interpret, and summarize scientific data.
Identify manufacturing problems, investigate process variables, conduct appropriate experiments, and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain complete and accurate documentation using Batch Data Records, laboratory notebooks, customer reports, work orders, and other required documentation.
Evaluate, revise, and create process documentation to support efficient, reproducible, and high‑quality manufacturing processes.
Ensure manufacturing and process documents meet established quality standards.
Participate in continuous improvement activities focused on product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and testing.
Communicate effectively with team members and representatives from other departments.
Participate in team activities, including scheduling, conflict resolution, team building, and problem‑solving.
Support manufacturing scheduling and coordinate resources to efficiently utilize time and materials.
Participate in New Product Development, Product Development, and Process Development activities.
Work collaboratively with R&D and Manufacturing Sciences throughout product and process development.
Participate in investigations and implement experiments to address unexpected product or process results.
Support cross‑functional problem‑solving teams as needed.
Follow all EH&S and laboratory safety requirements .
Seek opportunities for continued professional development through training, seminars, meetings, and other educational activities.
Strong technical writing skills.
Excellent time management and ability to work independently.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple and changing projects.

Ability to manufacture scientific research and commercial products for the life sciences industry.
Understanding of production and large‑scale manufacturing procedures.
Ability to contribute to process improvement and New Product Development/Introduction activities.
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related Chemistry discipline .
