Travel RN - Interventional Radiology​/IR - Interventional Radiology

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in Rockford, IL, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active IL RN license.

Job Details

• Hospital-based Interventional Radiology (IR) unit,

• Level 1 Trauma Center environment,

• 8-hour day shifts with an on-call rotation covering weeknights, weekends, and holidays,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active IL RN license currently in hand,

• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS,

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year of critical care experience,

• Cardiovascular intervention experience required,

• Prior IR experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center strongly preferred,

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required),

• Must successfully pass an EKG test prior to completion of orientation,

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care,

• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and state practice acts,

• Develops and executes individualized patient plans of care per physician orders and hospital policy, including patient and family education,

• Ensures accurate and comprehensive documentation in accordance with established standards of care,

• Participates in department performance improvement activities, shared governance, and peer review,

• Engages in continuous professional development including evidence-based practice guidelines
