Travel RN - Cardiac Telemetry

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Float Pool position in Rockford, IL, requiring extensive cardiac and ICU experience with the ability to float across multiple units on night shift.

Job Details

• Float Pool position covering multiple units including Med-Surg, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke/Neuro, Step-Down, and ICU,

• Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM,

• 13-week contract,

• Floating is a core requirement of this role, with potential to float down to Medical-Surgical units,

Job Requirements

• Active IL RN license currently in hand,

• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS,

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,

• ICU experience is required,

• Extensive cardiac experience is required,

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required,

• COVID-19 vaccination required,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient care,

• Administers medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care,

• Develops and executes individualized patient care plans in accordance with physician orders and hospital policy, including patient and family education,

• Applies critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command,

• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance,
