Registered Nurse – Step-Down ICU / ICU

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed

Requirements:

• Current IL RN License
• CPR Certification
• ACLS Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• Strong ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and standards of care.
• Document patient care according to established standards.
• Develop and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by the Physician.
• Participate in performance improvement activities within the department or unit.
• Utilize clinical expertise to guide other units/departments in supporting patient care plans.
• Employ critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, escalating issues to the appropriate chain of command as necessary.
