Position SummaryAs part of the interdisciplinary team, the RPN is responsible and accountable for providing quality patient/family focused nursing care in accordance with the hospital’s philosophy, policies and standards of care, the College of Nurses (CNO) and all relevant legislation.
Responsibilities- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses (CNO) as a Registered Practical Nurse.
- Current BCLS.
- ECG interpretation preferred.
- CC1 or commitment to complete within six (6) months of hire.
- Medication administration course.
- Management of Aggressive Behaviour or equivalent preferred.
- Certificate in Gentle Persuasive Approach preferred.
- Demonstrates excellent assessment, communication, organization, problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrates initiative and the ability to function both independently and as an inter‑professional team member in a fast‑paced demanding environment.
- Demonstrates a strong ability to facilitate patient and family‑centered care and establish therapeutic relationships.
- Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
- Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for patients, family and staff.
- Demonstrated commitment to the professional growth and development of self and others.
- Demonstrated commitment to, and understanding of the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion.

- Recent experience with inpatient medicine/surgery preferred.

Operations run 24/7. Expected to be available weekdays, weekends and all shifts (days, nights, 12 hours).
