Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department

Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN for the ED
- Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Rockford, Illinois.

• Rapidly assess and triage patients on arrival, prioritizing care based on severity
• Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per emergency nursing protocols
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during emergency treatments and examinations
• Monitor patient comfort and safety in the ED and respond to immediate needs
• Document patient conditions, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR
• Initiate patient education plans according to acute care needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
• Adhere to hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice

• One year of recent ER RN experience
• Valid RN license in accordance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current PALS or ENPC certification

• TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP, SANE certifications
• Other certifications or licenses may be required
