Description:
Responsible for providing nursing care in the Operating Room. Manage and coordinate patient care during surgical procedures. Collaborate with surgical teams and maintain sterile environments. Assist in scrubbing for various surgical specialties including general, GYN, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, orthopedic, spine, EENT, and cardiothoracic. Prepare operating rooms and ensure equipment is ready for surgical procedures. Assist the charge nurse as needed.
No patient assignment for the charge nurse; they may help in a room when necessary. Surgical techs are available to assist during procedures. CNA support is available during designated hours. Utilize Epic for charting and documentation. Follow established protocols for patient safety and infection control. Participate in unit-specific orientation upon hire. Shift times are 2245 to 0715, Monday through Friday.
