American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 3+ years of OR nursing experience and IL licensure.

• Level 1 trauma acute care hospital setting in a 15-suite Operating Room with 25-45 cases per day
• Common case specialties include general, GYN, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, ortho, spine, EENT, and cardiothoracic
• Uses Epic EMR
• 8-hour shifts with start times of 0645, 1045, or 1445; 10- or 12-hour shifts may also be considered
• Weeknight call required approximately once per week, weekend call every 3rd to 4th weekend, and holiday call required
• No floating requirements
• Charge RN is on duty 24/7 and does not take a patient assignment but may assist as needed
• Supported by surgical techs (1-2 per patient) and CNAs (3-4 during days, decreasing to 1 by 7pm)

• Active IL RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum of 3 years of OR nursing experience required
• Scrubbing required for RNs
• Negative drug screen required for all panels

• Provide direct patient care across a wide range of surgical specialties within a busy, high-volume OR
• 1 week of unit/department-specific orientation provided
• Scrubs are provided by the facility; casual professional dress required to enter/leave the facility
• Local rate applies to clinicians with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility
• No radius rule restricting eligibility for the position
• First-time travelers may be considered
