American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring active IL licensure and at least 3 years of OR nursing experience.

• Acute care setting in a Level 1 trauma facility with 15 operating suites
• Handles 25-45 cases per day across specialties including general, GYN, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, ortho, spine, EENT, and cardiothoracic
• Evening shift schedule, Monday through Friday,
• 8-hour shifts with various start times (0645, 1045, 1445)
• Weekend and holiday call required, approximately every 3rd to 4th weekend
• Weeknight call required approximately once per week
• No floating requirements
• Uses Epic EMR
• Charge RN available 24/7 and does not take a patient assignment
• Support staff includes 1-2 surgical techs per patient and 3-4 CNAs during the day (reduced to 1 by 7pm)

• Active IL RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required
• BSN not required
• Scrubbing required for RNs
• Must be able to produce a negative drug screen for all panels

• Scrubs are provided; casual professional dress required when entering/leaving the facility
• Unit-specific orientation is 1 week
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a reduced local rate
• No radius rule restricting eligibility
• COVID vaccination is not required for this position
