Description:
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department. Evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists and ancillary departments as required, and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care. Meets the communication needs of patients and families. Provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations.
Communicates with physicians about changes in patients' status, symptomatology, and results of diagnostic studies. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Holiday coverage required.
