Pharmacy Technician - Registry

Work Schedule

100% FTE, Monday through Friday, varying shifts 6:00 am‑10:30 pm, every other weekend, rotating holidays. You will work at the UW Health Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL.

• Evening, night, and weekend shift differential

• High School diploma/GED or presently attending high school. Required.

Retail pharmacy or hospital experience preferred, in particular in the following areas: unit dose distribution, compounding non‑sterile medications, IV admixture including USP, and automated dispensing machine technology.

• Current licensure from the State of Illinois. Candidates without a license may work in this role for 60 days from date of license application through Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation. Those enrolled in an ACPE‑accredited college of pharmacy are exempt from certification requirements, but will need to obtain a “Pharmacy Technician‑Student Designation” license from IDFPR. Required.
• Completion of Pharmacy Technician Certification within two (2) years of date license was first issued. Required.
