PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Serves the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and friendliness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives, and parameters found in the Board’s strategic plan.
- Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities in order to enhance ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
- Assists with service line set up and restocking throughout meal periods.
- Serves menu options to students according to district recipes and menus.
- Provides excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ensures all meals are reimbursable according to USDA regulations.
- Ensures accommodation of dietary modifications and food allergies for students.
- Assists with accurate counting for completion of daily production records.
- Assists with cleaning and sanitizing service area, prep stations and dishes.
- Assists with receiving and putting away orders.
- Follows all Health Department standards to ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met.
Food Services experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES- Ability to demonstrate qualities aligned to our core values of Character, Communication, Collaboration and Continuous Improvement.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to learn and use new software systems.
- Bilingual as required by location.

WORKING CONDITIONSOccasional in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours of work.
