Customer Service​/Sales

Overview

Customer Service/Sales role at The Home Depot. Base pay range: $15.00/hr - $18.00/hr.

Position details indicate responsibilities and department scope within the Home Depot environment.

• Provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance.
• Learn about products using company tools, and provide information to customers to sell an entire project.
• Greet, qualify, recommend and close sales with customers in their department; know how to handle basics in adjacent departments.
• Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas and ensure it is clean, shop-able, and safe.
• Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards, completing safety training, and reporting hazards to the Manager on Duty.
• Work in cooperation with the Department Supervisor and other associates across departments.
• Support specific store departments as applicable (e.g., Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, Tool Rental).
• Recognize that Customer Service/Sales position types may include Department Sales, Lead Generator, Pro Account Sales, Sales Specialist, Special Services, and Customer Order Specialist.

• Strong customer service and sales skills.
• Ability to learn product information and use company tools to assist customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and collaborate with team members.
