Salary Range: $17.00 - $20.50 hourly

Accountability:
Responsible for all duties as assigned by the ECommerce Manager including examining products for value, condition and functionality, taking clear photographs, preparing written product descriptions, assisting customers, understanding auction inventory processes, and preparing goods for shipment.

• As auction lister: writes item descriptions to accompany photos and proofreads for accuracy, spelling, and grammar; posts auctions to online platforms including , eBay, and others.
• As package shipper: processes and picks customer orders, securely packs merchandise for handling and delivery, correctly weighs and labels packages, and uses web-based software to meets production goals.
• As intake processor: evaluates and researches incoming goods using internet and other resources, creates listing tickets in software app, and prepares items for photography and listing.
• As photographer: inspects and photographs items for online sale, capturing measurements, damage and features, supporting swift auction listing.
• As jewelry processor: sorts and evaluates mixed jewelry for sales potential and value, creates saleable lots, tests and identifies gemstones and precious metals, provides detailed summaries for listers, photographs auctions, and ensures accuracy and clarity.

• Provides listing accuracy and clarity to minimize customer service inquiries; supports customer service designee with responses, arranging returns, or issuing refunds, as needed.
• Always responsive and respectful towards others within the organization, communicating clearly and effectively with employees, customers, and visitors.

• Maintains and monitors productivity in any role assigned, meeting or exceeding established goals while staying organized and prepared.
• May be required to move inventory using a pallet jack.
• Consistently follows established safety rules, reports safety accidents and hazards timely, maintains safe, clean, and orderly work areas, uses proper equipment and supplies, and completes a daily 5‑minute workstation clean‑up.
• Demonstrates regard for Goodwill assets including property and equipment.

This work is performed in a warehouse setting which can involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and the physical handling of goods. Noise levels vary. Donation area may be cold in winter and hot in summer. Weekend and evening work is required.

Ability to perform all functions efficiently and effectively, including standing, bending, lifting and reaching for long periods, lifting up to 40 pounds normally and 80 pounds occasionally, using both hands, good manual dexterity, and working in dusty and noisy conditions. Ability to inspect and eliminate non‑saleable donations.

• A combination of education and relevant work experience that aligns with the duties of this position.
• Knowledge of collectibles, antiques, thrifting or collecting is strongly preferred.
• Proficient with PCs, email, Microsoft applications and internet use.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong English writing skills for auction listings.
• Comfortable staging merchandise and using digital devices or smartphone for photography.
• Basic math and communication skills.
• Cooperates as a team member to achieve group and department goals.
• Friendly and courteous demeanor toward diverse coworkers and customers.
• Experience researching merchandise on the web and eBay is a preference.
• Able to stand or sit for long periods while bending, lifting and reaching often.
• Understands and follows established safety rules.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
