Job Description

Position:
Part-time; bilingual in English and Spanish required.

Entry‑level sales position supporting the DIY business to achieve sales and service objectives. Requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive and parts knowledge, ability to source from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers, and in‑depth awareness of store inventory and maintenance processes.

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goal and help store achieve its sales goals.
• Provide DIY services, including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, and related tasks.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Manage inventory processes: truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, back stock, etc.

• Maintain store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot.
• General stocking: truck stocking and back stock.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.

• Basic driving and navigation ability.
• Use of delivery board system.
• Friendly communication.
• Locating and stocking parts.
• Safety knowledge and skills.
• Operating inventory systems and store equipment.
• Parts and automotive system knowledge.
• Operating POS and parts lookup systems.
• Expertise with testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service.

• Speak and write English (Spanish also required); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math accurately—addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Work a variety of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.

• 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.

Predominantly walking or standing; must be able to talk and hear, use hands and fingers, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work usually inside; occasionally outside, exposed to weather. Risks include moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, and vibration. Noise level usually moderate.

Good‑faith estimate: $15.00 to $16.13 per hour for a new team member. Rate varies by geographic location, experience, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, skillsets, and shift differential (if applicable).
