Freight Flow Associate

Position Summary

Complies with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans using the Open Door Policy and applying these in executing business processes and practices.

• Operate forklift following company standards and guidelines by safely picking up, moving, and positioning merchandise pallets.
• Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources while collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks, communicate progress, determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.
• Receive stocks and organize merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers throughout the facility by managing inventory flow, following company policy and procedures for equipment usage, merchandising, working inventory exceptions, correcting shelf capacities, and completing required paperwork, logs, and documentation.
• Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, guiding them on self‑service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving member issues, and promoting the company's products and services.
• Maintain safety of the facility by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, following steel standard guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to management.
• Maintain sales floor and merchandising presentation by zoning the area, stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out‑of‑date goods, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, maintaining modular integrity, receiving, sorting, staging, and delivering merchandise, ensuring prominent display of promotional and seasonal items, processing defective merchandise, following sanitation and food safety procedures, and monitoring shrink, security, and safety risks.
• Ensure club pick‑up orders are filled by assisting with picking, staging, and auditing orders, ensuring products are selected and staged according to company policy and that associates pick orders within acceptable time frames.
• Handle inventory by moving and displaying goods safely and correctly, tracking goods, maintaining in‑stock levels, controlling shrinkage, reporting poor inventory practices, and using inventory tools and equipment safely.
• Operate and maintain forklifts safely, report unsafe conditions or practices, and inform management when forklifts are not in proper working order.
• Proactively identify customers who need help, engage them, assist with technology services and items, model technology services, identify shrink opportunities and problems, maintain equipment, ensure products are organized and stocked correctly, and promptly fix any problems.
