Summary
The Sales Teammate position’s primary responsibility is to fulfill our mission statement: “To create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.” Additionally, Sales Teammates perform a variety of sales, merchandising and operational tasks assigned by Store Management (e.g., cashiering, merchandise display & pulls, register procedures, and routine cleaning of facilities).
Pay range: $15–$17 per hour.

Sales Generation and Guest Service- Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service.
- Answer questions regarding store and merchandise.
- Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on guest needs.
- Anticipate and fulfill guest needs by suggesting additional items and creating a wardrobing experience.
- Demonstrate product using knowledge and sales education, sharing with teammates.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, and payment/exchange policies.
- Achieve personal sales‑per‑hour, average sales and total net sales goals set by Store Management.
- Perform sales duties in front 5, sales floor, fitting rooms and register area.
- Help guests try on or fit merchandise; check out and bag purchases.
- Prepare merchandise for alterations; handle exchange and return procedures.
- Fill out Sales Presentation Guide (SPG) daily to accomplish goals.
- Meet or exceed performance standards in Buckle business builders and guest loyalty.
- Place special orders or call other stores to find desired merchandise.
- Build guest relationships to develop client‑based business.
- Maintain knowledge of Buckle’s customer service expectations.
- Consistently perform leadership actions and maintain high standards.
- Recognize recruiting opportunities using Jobs & Careers cards, email referrals and teammate recommendation.
- Create relationships through Guest Loyalty and Guest Preferred.
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude, fostering positive floor culture.
- Present merchandise to maximize sales and achieve optimal merchandise turn.
- Stay current on product range and new product ideas.
- Ensure sales floor is consistently sized and new freight displayed appropriately.
- Work flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends and major holidays.
- Open/close cash registers, use magnetic card readers, count money, balance cash drawers, make deposits.
- Recognize and prevent security risks, follow loss‑prevention guidelines.
- Maintain knowledge of POS procedures and payment/exchange policies.
- Perform merchandising tasks: handling freight, re‑merchandising, displays, markdowns, transfers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, shoppable store.
- Provide feedback to Store Manager and Leadership Team on merchandise concerns.
- Report policy violations and teammate or guest concerns to appropriate managers.
