Position Overview
As Assistant Store Manager, you are the right-hand to the Store Manager. You'll be trained to cover all aspects of store operations, achieve key performance and financial objectives, and lead performance planning.

- Retail schedule. Store hours Monday to Saturday 7AM-8PM and Sunday 9AM-6PM.
- Assist with the management of all aspects of store operations, including customer service, store condition, and the selection, training, supervising, and performance management of store sales associates.
- Assist in unloading all merchandise from delivery trucks, organize merchandise, and transfer merchandise from the stockroom to the store.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the store meets or exceeds established merchandising standards for product quality, presentation, and visual marketing/merchandising.
- Keep up with reporting to support sales, earnings, and minimize shrink.
- Assume full management responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Two (2) or more years of grocery or retail management experience.
- Hands‑on leadership experience in grocery retail (e.g., Produce, Deli/Bakery, or Meat/Seafood departments) is highly preferred.
- Physical ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs with frequent lifting above shoulder height.
- Schedule availability to work a flexible, full‑time schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of pre‑employment checks, including drug screen and criminal background check.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record per GFS policy.
