O​/N Merchandising Lead

Position Summary

Sam's Club, Rockford, IL location. Full-time role with shifts that may vary. Compensation ranges from $23.00 to $31.00 per hour.

• Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, guiding and supporting them regarding self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting the company’s products and services.
• Assist management with supervising associates in the assigned area by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training on processes and procedures, and guiding on member service approaches to resolve complaints per company guidelines.
• Receive and stock supplies and merchandise from distribution centers and vendors; organize and maintain the sales floor using equipment, merchandising, and required documentation.
• Maintain facility safety by conducting safety checks, handling forklift operations and hazardous materials, following standard guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations.
• Ensure sales floor and merchandise presentation by handling claims and returns, zoning, stocking and arranging merchandise, setting up product displays, pricing, identifying shrink, and securing fragile items.
• Monitor food and merchandise quality through product rotation, dating, recalls, sanitation standards, and category merchandising.
• Lead and participate in teams by allocating resources, determining customer needs and priorities, coordinating work, providing feedback, and supporting change management.
• Oversee picking and staging of club pick-up orders, ensuring items are selected and staged per policy.
• Develop, communicate, and implement processes to meet business needs through collaboration with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; analyze information, monitor progress, and pursue improvements.
• Promote compliance with company policies, ethics, and integrity; explain and demonstrate policies; support Open Door Policy and address ethical issues with management.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 6 months of retail experience and 6 months of customer service experience.

• Leading a team; supervising experience including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing workload of others.

• The hourly wage range is $23.00 to $31.00 per hour. The actual rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the location.
