The RoleThe Vice President of Sales – Retiree Health Solutions is a sales leader who is highly motivated to build and lead a high performing team of Sales Executives focused on developing value-based singular or multi-product Alight Solutions to drive acquisition of new business and revenue expansion within our existing client base.
The Vice President of Sales is an inspirational sales leader focused on sales executive development, an expert in singular and multi-product Alight solutions, exhibits exceptional forecasting accuracy, and has strong business acumen to deliver revenue goals through new client acquisition and revenue expansion of existing accounts. They must be able to effectively lead the team through the sales process: from the creation of a sales strategy, and executing the pursuit of new client acquisition and existing expansion opportunities.
This sales leader must have a proven record to help other sales executives close new logo business and existing opportunities, and may be assigned to designated accounts.
- Domain Expertise:
The Sales Leader ideally has a background in either Benefits Administration and will become a generalist in the entire Alight portfolio. - Sales Process:
- Achieve and drive attainment towards annual Alight core solutions revenue goals across new and existing client base.
- Drive revenue by developing and executing sales strategy for new logo acquisition, expansion of solutions across existing client base, monitor core solutions sales pursuits process, and generate revenue through closing core solutions deals.
- Build and maintain the overall Core Solutions commercial strategy and develop Alight narrative to communicate and execute sales strategy to potential new logo clients.
- Monitor the overall pipeline for new business sales and existing account expansion with inter territories and target account listings.
- Coordinate with Marketing and Lead generation functions to ensure and maintain adequate pipeline and allocation of leads to Core Solutions team.
- Develop and generate demand for Alight Solution offerings and new business opportunities.
- Create and execute account mapping, new business strategic plan, and existing client growth and retention strategic plan for entire Core Solutions sales organization.
- Internally work with Delivery Team, Sales, and other organizations to ensure adequate new and existing account pursuits support and servicing, and review new and existing client sales deployment strategies.
- Leverage strategic client relationships to uncover new solutions expansion opportunities and drive new logo client acquisition.
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to inform upper management’s strategic decision-making.
- Team Leadership:
- Identify, create, and develop key success measures and key performance indicators (KPIs) for Core Solutions team and manage team to plan.
- Act as a mentor, coach, and oversee the career development of Core Solutions team members to Alight-authored career milestones and performance plans.
- Encourage, inspire, motivate, and lead Core Solutions team to accomplish team revenue goals through proactive communication, and positive reinforcement.
- Be responsible for identifying and recruiting high performing talent to the Core Solutions team.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 15+ years professional sales management experience and Consumer Experience/Benefits firm experience required.
- Ability to inspire the team and excite the organization to rally behind the strategy.
- Demonstrated leadership experience leading a high performing sales team.
- Maintains strong content knowledge across entire Alight portfolio.
- Proven forecasting accuracy.
