About the Role
Packaging Solutions, Inc. is a privately held packaging company specializing in innovative, customized solutions for businesses across a wide range of industries. Our team partners closely with customers from concept development through sourcing, manufacturing, and delivery, creating packaging solutions that balance functionality, aesthetics, and protection.
What You’ll Do- Prospect, develop, and manage new business opportunities within the local market
- Engage customers to understand their needs and design customized packaging solutions
- Own the full sales lifecycle from opportunity identification through design, sampling, testing, and implementation
- Build strong, long-term client relationships through a consultative approach
- Spend time both setting appointments and meeting customers in the field
- Collaborate directly with manufacturing partners to deliver the right solutions
- Drive consistent activity and new account growth in line with sales goals
- Strong sales activity and pipeline development
- Approximately two new accounts per month once ramped
- Regular customer engagement and in-person meetings
- Consistent communication and collaboration with leadership
- Proven experience in consultative sales or sales consulting
- Strong hunter mentality with the ability to build business quickly
- Existing book of business is a plus but not required
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working independently
- Packaging industry experience is highly preferred, though strong adjacent experience will be considered
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus
- Base salary between $75,000 and $150,000 + commission
- Hybrid/field-based role in the Greater Chicago area
- More in-office time during the first couple of months for onboarding and training
- Transition to primarily field-based work with occasional office visits
- Quarterly in-person team meetings
- Privately held company with direct access to leadership
- Minimal bureaucracy and fast decision-making
- No heavy CRM or reporting requirements
- High trust environment focused on activity and results
