WNIJ & Classical WNIU | Northern Illinois | Part‑Time

Sell multi‑platform marketing solutions for northern Illinois’ public radio stations, reaching the Rockford market and beyond. This role is all about driving revenue, building client relationships, and closing deals across on‑air, digital (including podcasts), and events.

This is a relationship‑driven, community‑facing sales role that requires regular in‑person meetings with prospects and clients throughout the region.

• Prospect, pitch, and close new business through in‑person, phone and digital outreach
• Grow, steward, and manage a pipeline of local and regional clients
• Create customized advertising and sponsorship packages that align with client goals
• Represent the stations at networking events, community functions, and station events
• Support broader fundraising and partnership efforts as needed
• Meet revenue goals and build long‑term partnerships

• Sales experience in advertising or sponsor ships preferred with a track record of hitting goals
• Strong prospecting, presentation, and closing skills
• A relationship‑driven, results‑focused mindset
