Security Officer

Position Summary

We are looking for personable and guest‑oriented individuals to join our Security team. In this role, you will help create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone who visits our property. Under the direction of Security Department supervisors and managers, you will be responsible for protecting the safety of guests, team members, and organizational assets while consistently maintaining a friendly guest‑service personality.

• Ensure proper security is provided for all transfers of monies within the casino.
• Assist patrons with inquiries and situations, providing information about the property and events, giving directions, and escorting them if necessary.
• Patrol casino areas to establish a security presence and report all unusual situations and/or suspicious persons.
• Assist in the coordination and resolution of emergency situations.
• Assist in maintaining proper key control.
• Demonstrate a commitment to responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations.
• Comply with all Internal controls and IGB regulations; report activities as required.
• Ensure Under‑21 persons do not enter the casino unless escorted by a gaming‑licensed escort.
• Transport, safeguard, and collect drop boxes; respond to jackpot/table fill requests; be competent with daily drop processes.
• Perform duties associated with Illinois Gaming Board Statewide Voluntary Self‑Exclusion Program as described.
• Assist sick or injured guests and/or team members.
• Communicate courteously, effectively, and professionally with guests and all levels of team members.
• Use tools and equipment such as radios, computers, and other position‑specific tools.
• Stand for extended periods of time.

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. One (1) year of security‑related experience is preferred.

• Must obtain and maintain valid licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
• Must successfully pass background check.
• Prior experience in the Gaming industry strongly preferred.
• Must be at least twenty‑one (21) years of age.
• Must have a VALID Driver's License that has not been suspended, denied, or revoked in the past 3 years; no major violations while operating a vehicle; cannot have two (2) or more at‑fault accidents or three (3) or more moving violations.
• Drivers of company vehicles must meet the requirements listed on the Motor Vehicle Permit Application provided by Hard Rock.
• Must be able to obtain CPR/AED certificate and pass Blood Borne Pathogen training.
• Must have CPR/Narcan nasal spray training.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of Veridocs Identification Verification and proficiency with Evolv Operation and Procedures.
• Parking lot vehicle patrol – valid driver’s license required.
