SOAR Engineer, Senior

Overview

We are seeking an experienced SOAR engineer to manage system infrastructure and applications, develop Threat Defense Solutions with a focus on detection and automation, and support the sustainment and development of critical naval platforms.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain security automation capabilities based on analyst requirements.
• Create playbook development using SOAR platforms such as Tines, Palo Alto XSOAR, Splunk Phantom, or Swimlane.
• Program using Python and integrate solutions via APIs, custom apps, or integrations.
• Containerize applications using Docker, Kubernetes, or Podman.
• Support defensive cyber operations and sustainment of naval platforms.

• 2+ years of experience building security automation capabilities.
• Experience with playbook development on SOAR platforms (Tines, Palo Alto XSOAR, Splunk Phantom, Swimlane).
• Proficient in Python programming.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or Podman.
• Experience integrating solutions via APIs and creating custom apps.
• Secret clearance.
• HS diploma or GED.

• Linux administration.
• Threat intelligence solutions such as ThreatQ, OpenCTI, or Analyst

• Version control systems such as Git.
• Log management platforms like Elastic Stack or Splunk.
• Experience in supportive Defensive Cyber Operations.
• Experience integrating with AI systems.
• Experience in DoW, Intelligence Community, or other regulated environments.
• A knowledge of AI gateway security, HTML, JS, CSS, or Zero Trust Architecture principles.

Applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must hold a Secret clearance.

Projected annualized salary range: $86,800.00 to $ USD.
