Join our team as a Maintenance Technician in Rockford, IL!
Are you a hands‑on problem solver who takes pride in maintaining safe, comfortable, and welcoming living environments? We’re looking for a full‑time Maintenance Technician for two of our affordable housing communities, Grove at Keith Creek (49‑units) and Jane Addams Park Apartments (39‑units), in Rockford, IL. What You’ll Do:- Complete daily maintenance and repairs for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
- Maintain exterior of the property and pool areas.
- Respond promptly to routine and emergency maintenance requests when assigned.
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents using make‑ready checklists.
- Inspect buildings and grounds to maintain safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal.
- Maintain common areas, exterior spaces, and grounds.
- Communicate with vendors and contractors.
- Minimum of three years of previous experience in property management maintenance, building maintenance, or related trade.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurability requirements.
- Strong customer service skills with a resident‑first mindset.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- HVAC‑EPA (Type II), or EPA Universal preferred.
- Competitive hourly pay starting at $23‑$26 an hour.
