Maintenance Technician

We are a company that owns and professionally manages apartment communities located in select markets throughout the southeastern United States.

We are searching for a Maintenance Technician to work at one of our communities in Rockford, IL.

The Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs and apply specialized skills in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. The technician will also pick up grounds as needed and assist the Maintenance Supervisor.

• Repair apartment appliances, water heaters, electrical fixtures, bulbs, toilets, sinks, and perform basic carpentry and general maintenance repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance duties.
• Complete work orders and forms, ensuring all documentation regarding maintenance equipment operations is completed properly.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Pick up grounds as instructed.
• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor.

• HVAC certification and at least 3 years of Maintenance Technician experience.
• Ability to move heavy equipment safely using proper equipment.
• Availability for emergency maintenance calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime.
