ABOUT
THE ROLE We're hiring a skilled, detail-oriented Fire Alarm Service Technician with strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of fire protection systems. You'll use hand and power tools to install, troubleshoot, and repair systems in the field, working closely with technicians, salespeople, and clients. All work is performed in accordance with NFPA 72 and other applicable fire alarm and life safety codes.
WHAT YOU'LL DOConduct field service inspections and assessments of existing fire alarm systems
Install, test, and maintain fire alarm systems in compliance with NFPA 72 and other applicable codes
Use hand tools and power tools for system installation and repairs
Troubleshoot system issues and implement effective, lasting solutions
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and recommend tailored solutions
Support the sales team by identifying system upgrade opportunities and quoting small repairs
Maintain accurate documentation of installations, inspections, and service reports
Manage your own service schedule and prioritize jobs to meet client and business needs
Follow quality control standards on every job so systems perform reliably and pass inspection WHAT YOU'LL BRING Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience building fire protection systems
Familiarity with NFPA 72 and other codes related to fire alarm and life safety systems
Two years of experience servicing, installing, and maintaining fire alarm systems (required)
Experience servicing clean agent systems
Ability to work independently in the field while managing multiple tasks efficiently
Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills for effective client interactions
Previous field service experience in fire protection preferred; NICET I certification in Fire Alarm and Special Hazard is a plus Ability to pass a background check and drug screening (including marijuana)
SCHEDULE & TRAINING This is a full-time, in-person position, Monday through Friday, with overnight work required in some instances. Training is provided on all equipment, and pay of $25.00-$40.00 per hour will be commensurate with your experience.
