Job Title:
PAIP Co-Facilitator – Part Time Immediate Supervisor: PAIP Manager Classification:
Non-Exempt Compensation: $21.28 per hour
Along with the PAIP Manager and/or other co‑facilitators, plans PAIP group lessons in line with the curriculum and co‑facilitates PAIP groups with persons who use violence. Reports directly to the PAIP Manager. PAIP services are provided at 215 Easton Parkway, Rockford, IL 61108 and/or the Winnebago County Probation Building. The position requires 8 hours per week on the following schedule:
- Monday: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm (Rockford)
- Tuesday/Thursday: 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm (Winnebago County Probation Building)
- More hours may be offered.
- Co‑facilitate weekly PAIP groups with persons who use violence against their intimate partner.
- Ensure standards of the Illinois Department of Human Services Protocol for Partner Abuse Intervention Programs (89 IL ADMINISTRATIVE CODE 501) are adhered to for monitoring and compliance reporting.
- Provide outreach and education about Remedies Renewing Lives PAIP services to the community as requested or assigned.
- Collaborate with criminal justice and child‑welfare agencies to provide PAIP services to persons who use violence against their intimate partner.
- Ensure victims/survivors of domestic violence are referred to Remedies Renewing Lives advocacy staff.
- Assist with completing group attendance documentation and maintaining PAIP client records, as needed, to ensure accuracy and reflect compliance documentation for DHS, courts, and/or child welfare.
- Ensure confidentiality standards of the Illinois Mental Health Code and the Protocol are adhered to.
- Facilitate, participate in, and complete training as assigned.
- Attend local PAIP provider meetings and/or other community meetings as assigned.
- Work closely with PAIP Manager and/or other co‑facilitators to plan and facilitate groups in a collaborative and egalitarian manner.
- Complete and implement a personal professional development plan with supervisor.
- Maintain working relationships with clients, other staff, and community agencies.
- Ability to prepare and maintain effective case files.
- Ability to participate in and successfully complete a comprehensive training program.
- Demonstrate sincere interest necessary to work with the client population.
- Ability to engage potential clientele and/or maintain current clients in services by providing support and encouragement.
- Acquire and apply skills necessary for empathetic and empowering counseling/crisis intervention techniques and methods.
- Possess high physical and emotional energy needed to handle the array of circumstances that may arise.
- Basic computer skills.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff, and the public.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
ExperienceDemonstrated skills in individual and group case management.
Certificate/LicenseCompletion of the 40‑hour domestic violence training required by the Illinois Domestic Violence Act (IDVA) from an Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional (ICDVP) at the Rockford office.
