JOB TITLE: RESIDENTIAL COORDINATOR- PART TIME 3RD SHIFT

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:SENIOR ADVOCATE

CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT

COMPENSATION:$16.80/HR

POSTION

SUMMARY:

Assisting adult and child residents and visitors both in person and by telephone. This position is on 3 rd shift working 32 hours per week. Hours will follow a rotating schedule to include the following days/hours:

Week 1

Monday: 11:30 pm-8 am

Friday: 11:30 pm-8 am

Saturday: 11:30 pm-8 am

Week 2

Monday: 11:30 pm-8 am

Thursday: 11:30 pm-8 am

Friday: 11:30 pm-8 am

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintains the day-to-day operation of the residential facility.
  • Enforces Agency and residential policy.
  • Provides intake and orientation of new clients.
  • Conducts groups or activities for clients, as assigned.
  • Assists with meal preparation, food service, and clean-up of kitchen after meals.
  • Coordinates and monitors client chores.
  • Observes clients’ behaviors, changes in behaviors, progress, relationships with others and acclimation to residential life and reports such to the client’s assigned advocate or to the senior advocate.
  • Addresses behavior of client(s) when such behavior is detrimental to the functioning of the shelter, to safety or to the progress of the client or other clients.
  • Aids and encourages clients in accomplishing goals.
  • Advocates for client with other service providers.
  • Assists child clients in activities and planned goals.
  • Documents all services provided.
  • Answers the Agency 24-hour crisis line.
  • Participates in or conducts community education and outreach about domestic violence or the program services, as assigned.
  • Participates in in-service or continuing education as requested and attends all staff meetings.
  • Performs clerical duties as assigned for the maintenance of the program, including documentation related to clients, statistical record keeping and data entry.
  • Coordinates and communicates client and Agency services with other staff
  • Performs other duties as required or requested by supervisor.
  • Promotes a positive and pleasant attitude conducive to the workplace that enhances and furthers the Mission, Vision and Values Statement.
  • Presents and maintains a professional image in dress, behavior, and work habits.
  • Performs all job functions in a professional manner.
  • Performs all job functions consistent with confidentiality regulations, ethical practices and Agency polices and mission.
KNOWLEDGE AND

SKILLS:
  • Ability to assess situation and take appropriate action, including, but not limited to, the need to contact supervising or management staff or emergency services.
  • Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff and the public.
  • Possesses sincere interest necessary to work with the client population as well as exhibiting caring and respectful attitudes toward all.
  • Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
  • Functions as a team member to achieve mutual goals.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to assume responsibility and follow directions.

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

Demonstrated skills in individual, group case management.

All full-time employees are eligible for insurance on the first of the month after 30 days of employment. Benefits include medical, dental and 401K participation. We also offer an accrual of 4 weeks of paid time off per year. There is an annual discretionary bonus given as well after completing 1 year of service.
