Production Software Engineer; Hybrid

Position Details

Hybrid role located in Rockford, IL. U.S. Citizenship is required. Security Clearance:
None/Not Required.

• Research, architect, build, test, and commission software for production equipment.
• Develop software specifications based on internal product engineering requirements.
• Develop NI Lab View software and support legacy test software written in C++.
• Develop technical documentation for all software implementations.
• Provide ongoing software support and maintenance to ensure proper functioning of equipment.
• Lead and/or participate in software code reviews.
• Read and interpret equipment and wiring schematics.
• Gather and review data regarding equipment specifications, and company or customer requirements as needed.
• Ensure operations meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements to guarantee production quality.
• Provide training to operators and technicians on proper equipment use.

You Must Have:

• University Degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Experience with Lab View object‑oriented software development.
• Experience with C/C++ and Python.
• U.S. Citizen status.

We Prefer:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science with 3 years of general software development and 1 year of Lab View experience, or
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with a minimum of 7 years of Lab View experience.

Salary range: $68,900 – $131,100 USD.
