Final Mile Mobile Training Instructor

General Description of the Position:

Conduct on‑site certifications and training across all Final Mile markets. Work closely with Driver Training and Dedicated Operations to ensure professional licensing and documentation compliance. Ideal living location includes reasonable commuting distance to the I‑55 and I‑65 interstate highways to facilitate efficient travel throughout the assigned territory.

• Travel to Final Mile markets to conduct new driver certifications and check rides.
• Monitor and track professional licensing expirations.
• Coordinate with dedicated operations and the training department to ensure recertifications are completed.
• Support the Train‑the‑Trainer program by educating and qualifying market drivers to conduct trainings.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and recommend enhanced processes and training practices.
• Collaborate with operations, safety, and training teams to support driver performance, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending and participating in appropriate training.
• Ensure company confidentiality.

High school diploma or GED required; additional education in a specialized field, such as a vocational/trade school, technical program, or two‑year college degree, preferred. Must have a valid Class A CDL. Working knowledge of open deck operations, load securement practices, and Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). required. Logistically minded, with strong communication, coaching, and problem‑solving skills and the ability to effectively train and support drivers in a variety of environments.

Shop environment where the employee is continuously exposed to noise, intermittent standing, walking, and occasional pushing, carrying, or lifting. May also be exposed to outside weather elements.
