Mgr P&D​/Model​/DOT

Plans, organizes, directs and controls all operations within the service area of the station in a way that provides maximum service to customers while maintaining a cost effective station operation.

• Plans, organizes, directs, and controls all operations within the service area, ensuring compliance with corporate personnel policies and procedures.
• Provides station personnel with information regarding benefits and policies.
• Supervises and coordinates all ground operations relating to the operational interface between aircraft and the station.
• Plans delivery routes or selects and negotiates with transportation vendors to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensures that all operational activities comply with internal and external guidelines and regulations, including those governing employee health and safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

High School diploma/GED.

• One year experience in Fed Ex supervisory/lead roles, ex. Ramp agent/Ops Lead/Team Lead OR
• Two years management experience (for external candidates) OR
• Completion of a certified internal leadership development program, including AiM. OR
• Bachelor's degree OR
• Twelve months general Fed Ex operations experience

Knowledge of Fed Ex field operations, features of service, systems, policies and procedures. Strong interpersonal, time management, organizational and communications skills. Basic PC skills, including the use of Microsoft Office software. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. With appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Non-covered safety sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
