Material Clerk, 1st Shift; Onsite

Collins Aerospace in Rockford, IL site aids in assembling the Ram Air Turbines (RAT) used for aircraft emergency power generation.

• Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Prepares items for direct shipping or delivery according to customer specifications.
• Counts, sorts, compiles records and inventory quantities, types of materials received, stored and issued in plants.
• Prepares material for storage and stores materials in bins, floors or shelves with identifying information.
• Adds preservatives when and where necessary and may cut or prepare materials to fill inspection sample orders.
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, notifies supervisor of damaged items, records storage and corresponds with shippers.
• Delivers items to the appropriate department, plant site or other locations.
• Loads and unloads trucks and pallets as needed, using hand and power equipment.
• Safely operates all assigned equipment such as forklifts, weigh scales, stretch wrappers, PCs and automated printing equipment.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area and performs patch checks on parts as required.
• Utilizes TGM’s system and inventory control procedures for tooling and gages.

• 1st shift, Monday-Friday 6:45 AM-3:15 PM

• High School Diploma or GED.
• U.S. Citizenship or lawful permanent residency.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience.

• Experience operating forklifts.
• Knowledge of SAP systems and warehouse or logistics processes.
• Experience with RF scanners.
• Basic math skills and ability to use MS Windows.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience.
