Join our team as an SPC Checker and help ensure top-quality products every step of the way. In this hands-on role, you’ll perform and document preventative checks on in-process and finished products, identifying defects and supporting a smooth production flow. You’ll collaborate with production and QA teams, retain and recheck products when needed, and help maintain equipment and facility standards. This is a fast-paced, production-focused role where your attention to detail directly supports product quality and operational success.
Responsibilities- Work at various stations along the production line processing poultry food products.
- Perform and record preventative checks on products, equipment, and facility items in assigned department.
- Take appropriate action for products, equipment, or facility items that do not meet acceptable levels.
- Ensure quality products are being produced in the facility.
- Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures and Process Safety Management related matters.
- Maintain clean and safe working environment.
- Participate in Company and department safety programs.
- Minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years in a comparable field.
Education and Experience
- High School or equivalent is beneficial but not required.
- Experience in a poultry processing/manufacturing environment.
- In plant environment with wet and moist floors, and metal and plastic grating surfaces.
- Temperatures from 28 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with ambient and 100% humidity.
- Product handling from 25 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Noise ranges from 50db to 110 db.
- Exposure to dust, feathers and chemicals used in poultry processing.
- Must wear and use protective safety equipment as directed.
- Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors and chlorine.
- Able to stand for several hours; may involve lifting up to 50 lbs, reaching, bending, and pushing boxes on conveyors.
