The Nurse Manager will be responsible for managing the ER at Moore Regional Hospital – Richmond, in Rockingham, NC.
Duties include:
- Ensuring the department is scheduled and staffed using appropriate resources.
- Coordinating patient care requirements with available resources and facilitating patient/family education.
- Making routine rounds on patients to assure care reflects patient needs and ensuring staff orientation follows the department orientation plan.
- Coordinating with Human Resources/Recruitment for new staff events and recruitment/retention efforts.
- Assuring ongoing staff development, conducting department meetings, and taking administrative call for the service.
- Directing or overseeing the service in the absence of the Administrative Director and ensuring service data is complete with documented outcomes.
- Participating in employee selection/termination, completing performance evaluations and counseling.
- Monitoring the work environment and initiating efforts to ensure general employee satisfaction.
- Assuring performance improvement, standards of care/practice, budget oversight, payroll completion, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Coordinating Service Line activities, integrating the Service Line Team, compiling and evaluating Service Line data, and completing the Service Line Annual Report.
- Ensuring outcome studies are completed.
- Three (3) years of ED Nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- At least one (1) year of previous leadership experience.
- BSN required.
- Department‑specific certification requirements must be achieved within the first year of employment.
