Position Overview
Charge RN, Emergency Department is a high-impact night position for an ambitious emergency nursing leader ready to guide fast-paced care, drive outcomes, and elevate team performance at a trusted hospital in southeastern North Carolina.
Key ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Emergency Department Nurse Manager and partnering with the Director of Emergency Services and House Supervisor, the Charge RN leads night‑shift staffing, patient flow, triage accuracy, time‑sensitive protocols (stroke, STEMI, trauma, sepsis), EMS and physician coordination, and safety initiatives. The Charge RN mentors peers, fosters Just Culture, and ensures readiness through real‑time dashboards and evidence‑based pathways.
QualificationsCandidates who earn quick interviews have at least three years of healthcare experience in a hospital setting, preferably in emergency services or critical care.
