Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Rockland, Massachusetts. In this role, you will oversee essential accounting and payroll functions while managing HR documentation and compliance. This position is ideal for someone detail-oriented who thrives in a dynamic environment and is proficient in Sage accounting software.

Responsibilities:

- Handle daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.

- Prepare and maintain financial reports and records in alignment with company policies and standards.

- Manage vendor accounts, billing, and collections with a focus on timely and efficient processing.

- Process payroll weekly or biweekly, maintain payroll documentation, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

- Administer employee benefits and manage HR-related documentation.

- Act as the primary point of contact for accounting and HR inquiries, fostering clear communication within the organization.

- Utilize Sage accounting software to manage bookkeeping, reporting, and transactional activities. Requirements - A minimum of 5 years of experience in full charge bookkeeping.

- Strong knowledge of payroll processing and HR administration.

- An associate degree or accounting certification is required, with a bachelor's degree preferred.

- Hands-on experience with Sage accounting software.

- Familiarity with industries such as service providers, construction, or similar fields is preferred.

- Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
