Cnc Setup Person And Operator

Simple Staffing is hiring for this position on behalf of Bendon Gear.

Job Description:

To set up and/or operate medium size vertical & horizontal machining centers and/or CNC lathes. Experience with CNC Mill / Turns is a plus.

Duties of Setup Person:

• Set up and operate using work orders, drawings and programs.
• Optimize and troubleshoot machining processes
• Run precision production jobs, train operators to run the jobs that you set up
• Inspect precision work. Basic preventative machine maintenance

Qualifications for Setup Positions:

• Be capable of complex setups with minimal assistance. (3 and 4 axis for milling)
• A minimum of 3 years setup experience. To read & edit programs. Fanuc/Yasnac controls
• To understand blueprints, geometric tolerances and basic machine shop math

Duties and Qualifications for Operators:

• Duties are to productively operate CNC machining centers.
• Operators to be capable of operating the machines, making offsets, monitoring and changing cutting tools, understanding blueprints and work instructions, and measuring precision parts using indicators, mics, and the like.
• Steady work habits and attention to details are key.
